ASV / Terex / Select CAT Clearance Information
Before ordering, please verify that your machine has the correct ASV-style undercarriage and enough clearance for Chains for Tracks to fit properly.
These chains are designed for ASV, Terex, and select CAT compact track loaders that use an ASV-style undercarriage system. This style of undercarriage typically has rubber track lugs that run outside of the bogie/roller wheels, allowing room for the chain brackets to sit along the edge of the track.
Some CAT machines were built with an ASV-style undercarriage. If your CAT track loader has this setup, it may have an ASV logo or marking on the undercarriage system. Please refer to the photos below for reference.
Will Not Fit — Rollers/Bogie Wheels at the Edge of the Track
If the rollers or bogie wheels sit flush with, or very close to, the edge of the rubber track, Chains for Tracks will not have the proper clearance needed to operate safely. Running chains on this style of undercarriage can cause damage to the machine, rubber tracks, rollers, bogie wheels, or the chains.

Correct Setup — Rubber Lugs at the Edge of the Track
This setup has rubber track lugs positioned near the edge of the track, with the rollers/bogie wheels set inward. This provides the clearance needed for the chain brackets to run properly without contacting the undercarriage.
What to Check Before Ordering
To confirm fitment, please check the following three areas:
1. Outside Clearance
Measure from the outside bogie/roller wheel to the outside edge of the rubber track. We recommend having approximately 2 inches of clearance on the outside of the track.
2. Inside Clearance
Measure from the inside bogie/roller wheel, underneath the machine, to the inside edge of the rubber track. We recommend having approximately 1.5 inches of clearance on the inside of the track.
3. Track Width
Measure the overall width of your rubber track to select the correct chain size.
Important Fitment Warning
If your bogie/roller wheels sit flush with the edge of the rubber track, or there is very little space between the roller wheels and the edge of the track, these chains will not fit your machine.
Proper clearance is required on both the inside and outside of the track so the chain brackets can run without contacting the rollers, bogie wheels, or other undercarriage components.
Running chains without proper clearance can cause damage to your chains, rubber tracks, or undercarriage. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify clearance before ordering.
If you are unsure whether your machine has enough clearance, please contact us before placing your order. Having photos of your undercarriage and track-width measurements available will help us confirm fitment.
Bobcat Clearance Information
Before ordering, please check the inside clearance between the rubber track and the machine frame. On some Bobcat machines, clearance can be tight near the sprocket cover where it meets the track.
To check this area, cup your hand in a “C” shape and run it along the inside of the track to feel for any obstructions or tight clearance points. Pay close attention to the area near the sprocket cover and the upper portion of the track above the sprocket.
Measure the overall width of your rubber track to make sure you are ordering the correct chain size.
Multi-Bar Track Notice: If your Bobcat machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. Standard chains are not recommended for Multi-Bar tracks because the tread pattern may not allow the chains to sit properly across the rubber track.
Running chains without proper clearance or ordering the wrong chain style may cause damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering and have photos of your undercarriage and track-width measurement available.
Important T595 Clearance Notice
Some Bobcat T595 machines, especially certain model years, may have clearance issues in this area. Because of this, each machine should be inspected individually before ordering or installing Chains for Tracks.
If there is not enough clearance between the inside of the track and the sprocket cover/frame area, the chain brackets may contact the machine during operation. This could cause damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains.
Use of Chains for Tracks on Bobcat T595 machines with tight clearance is done at the customer’s discretion. Please inspect your machine carefully before installation.
See the photos below for the specific clearance area to check.

CAT Track Loader Clearance Information
Before ordering, please verify which undercarriage setup your CAT track loader has and confirm that there is enough clearance for Chains for Tracks to fit properly.
Most CAT compact track loaders use a standard undercarriage setup that works with our regular track chain sizing. However, some CAT machines were built with or offered with an ASV-style undercarriage system. If your CAT machine has an ASV-style undercarriage, it may require our ASV-style chain setup instead of the standard CAT setup.
Some CAT models that may have an ASV-style undercarriage include 239D3, 279D, 277C, 257B, and similar models. Please check your machine before ordering.
Check for an ASV-Style Undercarriage
If your CAT track loader has an ASV-style undercarriage, it may have an ASV logo or marking on the undercarriage system. Please refer to the photos below for the location reference.
If your machine has this ASV-style setup, please refer to the ASV clearance section or contact us before ordering. Custom ASV-style orders are available at no additional cost.
What to Check Before Ordering
To confirm fitment, please check the clearance between the rollers/bogie wheels and the edge of the rubber track on both sides of the machine.
Inside Clearance
Measure from the inside roller/bogie wheel, underneath the machine, to the inside edge of the rubber track. Approximately 1.5 inches of clearance is recommended.
Outside Clearance
Measure from the outside roller/bogie wheel to the outside edge of the rubber track. Approximately 2 inches of clearance is recommended.
Track Width
Measure the overall width of your rubber track to select the correct chain size.
Important Fitment Warning
If your rollers or bogie wheels sit flush with, or very close to, the edge of the rubber track, Chains for Tracks may not have the proper clearance needed to operate safely.
Running chains without proper clearance can cause contact with the rollers, bogie wheels, rubber track, or other undercarriage components. This may result in damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains.
It is the customer’s responsibility to verify clearance before ordering. If you are unsure whether your CAT machine has the correct setup, please contact us before placing your order. Having photos of your undercarriage and your track-width measurement available will help us confirm fitment.

Caterpillar General Clearance Check
For all Caterpillar track loader models that do not have the ASV-style undercarriage mentioned above, please verify proper clearance before ordering or installing Chains for Tracks.
Check both the inside and outside of the rubber track to make sure the chain brackets have enough room to run without contacting the frame, rollers, sprockets, undercarriage components, track guards, or any other part of the machine.
Measure the overall width of your rubber track to select the correct chain size. We also recommend visually inspecting both sides of the track and running your hand along the inside of the track to check for any tight areas or obstructions.
Rubber tracks can shift and flex during normal operation, so proper clearance is important even if the chains appear to fit while the machine is parked.
Multi-Bar Track Notice: If your Caterpillar machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. Standard chains are not recommended for Multi-Bar tracks because the tread pattern may not allow the chains to sit properly across the rubber track.
Running chains without proper clearance or using the wrong chain style may cause damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains. If you are unsure whether your Caterpillar machine has enough clearance, please contact us before ordering.

JCB Clearance Information
Before ordering Chains for Tracks for your JCB machine, please measure your rubber track width and inspect your machine for proper clearance.
Check both the inside and outside of the track to make sure the chain brackets have enough room to pass without contacting the frame, rollers, sprockets, loader arm, bucket, or other undercarriage components. Measure the overall width of your rubber track to select the correct chain size.
If your JCB machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. Standard chains are not recommended for Multi-Bar tracks because the tread pattern may not allow the chains to sit properly across the rubber track.
Important Notice for JCB Teleskid and Single-Arm Track Loaders
Some JCB Teleskid machines and other JCB track loaders with a single loader arm can develop alignment issues over time from normal use. If the loader arm or bucket is no longer properly aligned, it may sit too close to the edge of the rubber track.
If the arm, bucket, or attachment sits too close to the track, the chains may come in contact with these components during operation. This can cause the chains to loosen, come off, or potentially damage the chains, rubber tracks, bucket, loader arm, or machine.
It is important to inspect your specific machine before ordering or installing Chains for Tracks. Make sure the bucket and loader arm are properly aligned and that there is enough clearance around the track before use.
Running chains without proper clearance, with an out-of-alignment loader arm, or with the wrong chain style may cause damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.

Important Clearance Notice for Some John Deere Track Loaders
Some John Deere compact track loader models, including certain 333 and 331 models, may have a factory carriage bolt and nut located on the lower front portion of the cab/frame area on both sides of the machine. In some cases, this factory hardware may reduce the clearance needed to properly run Chains for Tracks®.
To gain the necessary clearance, customers have reported success by reversing the factory carriage bolt so the rounded bolt head is positioned on the outside of the frame and the nut is installed on the inside. This is typically the simplest and most recommended solution and may take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Additional options may include replacing the factory flanged nut and carriage bolt with shorter hardware or carefully trimming the excess bolt length. Any modification should be done at the customer’s discretion, and we recommend confirming that all hardware is properly secured before operating the machine.
A minimum clearance of 1/2 inch is recommended. Our mounting brackets are made from 1/4 inch hardened steel, so it is important to check this area before installation and operation.
See the photos below for the factory hardware location and the clearance improvement after reversing the carriage bolt.
Before Switching the Nut and Carriage Bolt Around
The factory nut and bolt may stick out far enough to interfere with the clearance needed for the chain bracket.
After Switching the Nut and Carriage Bolt Around
Reversing the carriage bolt places the rounded head on the outside and moves the nut to the inside, helping create the needed clearance.
John Deere General Clearance Check
For John Deere track loader models that do not have the specific bolt-clearance issue mentioned above, please still verify proper clearance before ordering or installing Chains for Tracks.
Check the inside and outside of the rubber track to make sure the chain brackets can pass through without contacting the frame, rollers, sprockets, cab hardware, undercarriage components, or any other part of the machine.
Measure the overall width of your rubber track to select the correct chain size. We also recommend running your hand along the inside of the track and visually inspecting the outside edge of the track for any tight spots or obstructions.
Because rubber tracks can shift and flex during normal operation, it is important to confirm there is enough clearance before use.
Multi-Bar Track Notice: If your John Deere machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks.

Kubota Clearance Information
Before ordering, please double-check the inside clearance between the rubber track and the machine frame. The easiest way to check this is to run your hand along the inside of the track, between the track and the frame, to make sure there is enough space for the chain bracket to pass through.
A minimum of 1/2 inch of inside clearance is required. Please keep in mind that rubber tracks can shift and flex during normal operation. If your machine is right at the minimum 1/2 inch clearance, you may still see light scratch marks on the inside frame where the chain brackets are installed. This is due to normal track movement while the machine is operating.
H-Pattern / Wavy H / Vortex Track Notice
Many Kubota machines come from the factory with H-Pattern, Wavy H, or Vortex-style rubber tracks. These track patterns do not have a straight groove across the track for the chains to sit down into evenly.
Because of this, you may notice additional vibration when running Chains for Tracks on hard surfaces. This is normal with this style of track pattern and is caused by the chain riding over the raised rubber lug design.
Due to the added height and surface contact, our slightly larger square-link chains are not recommended for H-Pattern, Wavy H, or Vortex-style tracks. For this track pattern, we recommend using our standard round-link Chains for Tracks instead.
For best results, always verify inside clearance before ordering and avoid extended use on hard surfaces whenever possible.

Check both the inside and outside of the track to make sure there is enough room for the chain brackets to run without contacting the machine frame, rollers, sprockets, or other undercarriage components.
If your Volvo machine is equipped with a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. Standard chains may not sit correctly on this type of track pattern.
Running chains without proper clearance or with the wrong chain style may result in damage to the machine, rubber tracks, or chains. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.

If your Wacker Neuson machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. This chain setup is recommended for proper fitment on Multi-Bar tracks.
Improper clearance or using the wrong chain style may cause damage to your machine, rubber tracks, or chains. Please verify your setup before ordering.

Before ordering Chains for Tracks for your Yanmar machine, please measure your rubber track width and check for proper clearance around the undercarriage.

If your Yanmar machine has a Multi-Bar track pattern, please order the Multi-Bar specific Chains for Tracks. Standard chains are not recommended for this track pattern because they may not sit properly across the tread.
